The 2025 EV9 is a spirited electric SUV with plenty of power for all driving needs. It comes standard with a 76.1 kWh battery and a single-motor rear-wheel drive setup for a net output of 215 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. A 99.8 kWh battery is available and delivers 201 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque with the rear-wheel drive system, or 379 horsepower and up to 516 pound-feet of torque with the dual-motor all-wheel drive system.
Range and Charging
As expected from an electric vehicle built for adventures, the EV9 has outstanding fuel economy ratings and delivers an impressive range per charge. With the standard battery, you can drive 230 miles away from home, whereas the long-range battery provides 304 miles per charge when paired with the rear-wheel drive system and up to 280 miles in the all-wheel drive setup. Both batteries can get to 80 percent in 20 to 24 minutes at 350 kW charging.
Interior Layout and Comfort
Designed for growing families, the EV9 comes standard with a three-passenger second-row bench and seats for two in the third row, for a total capacity of seven seats. Six-passenger seating with second-row captain’s chairs is available. Regardless of the layout you choose, all passengers can enjoy high-end comfort. Power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats are standard, while second-row lounge seats are available on select models.
Cargo and Utility
This spacious SUV also provides plenty of room for cargo, with 20.2 cubic feet of capacity behind the third-row seats. In the standard seven-seat configuration, the second row has a 60/40 split-folding design, whereas the third-row backrest has a 50/50 split, allowing for a variety of cargo and passenger combinations. With all seats folded, the EV9 offers a maximum cargo capacity of 81.7 cubic feet.
Smart Technologies
Advanced infotainment and connected car technologies are standard across the lineup and are easily accessible from the 10.25-inch center touchscreen. Smart-touch haptic controls are also standard, providing access to various vehicle functions, while a 5-inch climate display makes it easy to set the temperature. Convenience technologies include Kia’s Digital Key 2.0, which allows you to use your phone as a key and share vehicle access.
Driver Assistance
